APGS 2019 – A 5G Mindset – A Ticket To Grow Golf Tourism!
For more than a decade, the golf industry in Asia has been abuzz about the huge potential of golf tourism. National tourism boards, golf clubs and other stake holders have been waxing lyrical about golf tourism like it was the next best thing since sliced bread.
However, there has not been too much tangible evidence to indicate that golf tourism is on a growth path or if it was actually showing signs of growth. The time has come to place this sector in the hands of the right players to give golf tourism a big boost and this challenge is being taken up by the 2019 Asia Pacific Golf Summit (APGS 2019).
“We need to see a major paradigm shift and a whole new mindset to really tap the full potential of golf tourism and the only way that this can be done is to rope in the right players to make the sector really take off,” said Mike Sebastian, Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Pacific Golf Group, the owner and producer of APGS 2019.
With a reputation and pedigree to push for change, APGS 2019 has reached out to Wyndham Destinations, a multi-billion-dollar corporation that is the world’s largest vacation ownership, exchange and rental provider. Wyndham has a global presence in 110 countries, and it has all that it takes to become an ideal partner for golf clubs in Asia to partner with to promote golf tourism.
With a wealth of expertise managing hotel, resort and mixed-use developments, Wyndham Destinations would be the development partner of choice in the Asia Pacific to help bring about growth in golf tourism.
APGS 2019 is pleased to announce that Ross Nicholas, Senior Vice President PR, Communications and Corporate Marketing will be at the Summit in India to explain what Wyndham Destinations can bring to the table and how the golf club industry in Asia can collaborate to create exciting golf packages designed to impact golf tourism.
He is a 40-year veteran in journalism, marketing and public relations and is an innovative and strategic leader who has been recognised for his significant contribution to the vacation ownership and hotel industries.
Nicholas will be amongst one of some twenty world-class speakers who have been booked to speak at APGS 2019.
The Summit will be staged on November 4 – 6 in the futuristic Indian city of Gurugram and the venue will be the multi-award winning DLF Golf and Country Club.
