Eye On Asia – Asian Golf Awards – 20-Years On!
Active preparations for the staging of the 2019 Asia Pacific Golf Summit and the Asian Golf Awards has resulted in the months of October and November being packaged into one bumper issue of ASIAN GOLF.
We had to place special focus on the Summit, the thirteenth in the series and the Asian Golf Awards, the 20th in the series and get everything out on a timely basis. Hence the delay in the release of ASIAN GOLF.
This special issue features a detailed review on the Asian Golf Awards which is without doubt, an award programme that is unequalled and unique. 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the major industry recognition award programme.
It is a stand-out event in that it is very comprehensive and covers some 47 specific award categories.
One of the special awards for this year is the “Best Golf Resort In The World” – this award will be presented to the giant Mission Hills Group which is rated as the largest golfing resort in the world featuring a total of 396 holes accredited by the Guinness World Records.
Altogether, there are 12 courses at Mission Hills Shenzhen and another 10 courses at the group’s Haikou complex on Hainan Island. Mission Hills Group has expanded its business across the Chinese cities of Dongguan, Shenzhen, and Haikou and invested billions of dollars to develop the resort.
