Michael McDevitt Named National Sales Manager at Subtle Patriot
McDevitt’s experience in golf and shooting sports categories will be instrumental to the Company’s expansion plans
CEO Tom Gocke today announced the addition of industry veteran Michael McDevitt to the Subtle Patriot team as National Sales Manager. The appointment is effective immediately.
McDevitt will manage the existing Phase One sales team consisting of 30 representatives covering select regions in the U.S. and will implement Phase Two of the development plan which will more than double the size of the sales force to serve additional regions throughout the country.
“It required an extensive search effort to find a leader with an acute knowledge of both the golf industry and the hunting/fishing market,” commented Gocke. “As we implement Phase Two of our rollout strategy, Michael’s experience in both categories makes him the ideal choice to build and lead the team that will introduce our collections to premium retailers throughout the United States.”
McDevitt’s career began as a professional in the PGA of America. His business acumen and leadership skills became evident during a 14-year climb within Tommy Armour Golf. His resume diversified in 2007 when he became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for an emerging golf and fishing brand, Element 21. The currents were strong in favor of the fishing market and with the successful launch of the popular Carrot Stix fishing rod, his focus turned solely to building one of the most successful rod brands in the fishing market. Lured away by opportunity in 2013, Michael put his expertise to work at Castaway Outdoors, maker of premium fishing rods, accessories and apparel, where he served as the General Manager and Vice President of Sales & Marketing, forming strategic partnerships with industry-leading sales agencies, distributors and retailers.
