Excel Golf, a family partnership operated by Bruce Cassidy Sr., announces a tentative agreement to buy a majority interest in The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. … Stirling Properties is named the court-appointed keeper for the Carter Plantation Golf Course Development in Springfield, La. Stirling Properties is acting on behalf of the lender and will operate the facility during the course of the current legal proceedings that are underway. Carter Plantation is a David Toms-designed golf course and residential resort.

Golf Channel will break into regular-scheduled programming today, Thursday, at 9 a.m. ET for a live news conference to update the fate of golf in the 2016 Olympics. At 11 a.m. ET, Ty Votaw, executive vice president of international affairs and communications for the PGA Tour, will join “Live From the PGA Championship” to discuss the decision of golf becoming an Olympic sport. … ABC is currently casting for its fifth season of “Wife Swap.” The network is searching for golf families for the prime time show.
