Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects: Chosen to renovate Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, Calif. The firm, which designed the original layout at Poppy Hills in 1986, will lengthen the course from 6,857 yards to more than 7,000 yards.

PGA National Resort and Spa (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla): Haig Course will close on April 2 to undergo an extensive renovation and reopen Nov. 1 as The Fazio Course.

Billy Casper Golf: Announces that Black Mountain Golf Course in Black Mountain, N.C., has opened its newly-renovated 19th Hole Grill.

McConnell Golf: Announces that Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., host of the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship, will convert its green complexes to a more heat-resistant strain of Bermuda grass. The course will close on May 14 and is scheduled to be completed in time for the mid-August tournament.

Billy Casper Golf: Announces that Compass Pointe in Pasadena, Md., and Eisenhower in Crownsville, Md., will celebrate Military Appreciation Week April 9-15 with reduced greens fees for active and retired members of all branches of the Armed Services.

KemperSports: Announces that three of its managed properties have been recognized by Links Magazine and named to the list of 10 Most Eco-Friendly Courses in the U.S., as published in the winter 2012 issue.
