Claims fifth LIV title in dramatic playoff, heading to Augusta on a winning streak
LAKE PARK, FLORIDA – Bryson DeChambeau won his fifth LIV Golf title on Sunday, claiming back-to-back victories after a sudden-death playoff at The Club at Steyn City in Johannesburg. He heads to Augusta on a hot streak playing JumboMax® counterbalanced Tour Series XL swing grips and the JMX JumboFlat 17 putter grip he co-designed with the company.
DeChambeau led after every round at Steyn City before a closing 66 left him tied at 26-under par and forced a sudden-death playoff. On the 18th, he striped a fairway wood from the rough to within 15 feet and two-putted for birdie to seal the title.
The run of form is no accident. After a frustrating result in Hong Kong just weeks prior, DeChambeau regrouped, refocused, and won his next two starts.
