5TH ANNUAL DESERT PATRIOT GOLF TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT THE FOLDS OF HONOR FOUNDATION
Rancho Mirage, Calif. (November 18, 2019) — The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa recently hosted the 5th Annual Desert Patriot Golf Tournament to benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation. Played on the resort’s Pete Dye Course on Saturday, November 9th, the tournament raised more than $5,000 for Folds of Honor and its mission to provide post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled in the line of duty.
The $5,000 donation equals one Folds of Honor educational scholarship that will be awarded to a spouse and/or child of a wounded or fallen service member. In 2019, the Folds of Honor Foundation awarded 100 scholarships.
“Our Desert Patriot Golf Tournament continues to grow larger every year,” said Hale Kelly, director of golf, The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa. “In just completing our fifth tournament, we’ve raised more than $25,000 for Folds of Honor. We appreciate and value the support of local sponsors such as The General Air Conditioning and Plumbing. Without their help, this sizeable donation would not be possible.”
