Dunning Golf Announces Co-Sponsorship of The 2019 Maui Jim Intercollegiate

Dunning announces their sponsorship of the 4th annual Maui Jim Intercollegiate. The 2019 Maui Jim Intercollegiate takes place September 13-15 at Mirabel Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The elite collegiate event consists of three rounds of individual stroke play plus a Pro-Am event on Thursday September 12th. All proceeds from the Pro-Am will be benefiting the Western Golf Association’s Chick Evans Scholarship.

“The Maui Jim Intercollegiate showcases a strong elite field of competitors that is right on brand for us,” said Kate Cunningham, Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Dunning. “We are very privileged to be involved in such a great event that is highly competitive while also giving back to the WGA”.

Hosted by Georgia State University and first contested in 2016 the Maui Jim Intercollegiate brings together many of the finest collegiate golf teams in the country. 3 of the top 10 teams in 2019 pre-season rankings will be teeing it up this year including second ranked Pepperdine, third ranked Arizona State, and ninth ranked Illinois.

“The Maui Jim Intercollegiate is fortunate to have sponsors like Dunning who step up and support our tournament”, said David Engram, Head Golf Professional at Mirabel Golf Club. “We feel strongly about the Dunning brand and their commitment to the game”.

About Dunning Golf

DUNNING is named after our founder, Ralph Dunning. A native of Toronto, Ralph is a performance sportswear pioneer and has been engineering fabric with a distinctly modern aesthetic for over 30 years. In 2001, while Ralph was building a premier cycling apparel brand and competing in Ironman triathlons he became naturally curious as to why such a versatile performance fabric was missing from the golf industry. The result? A brand-new category of world class golf apparel inspired by fit, playability, and the goal to become the most technical player specific apparel company in golf.
