MALLORCA, Spain – Marriott’s Club Son Antem—one of Marriott Vacation Club’s worldwide collection of holiday ownership resorts—has purchased the premier East Course on the island of Mallorca, Spain. The resort is also developing a 10-year improvement plan for the golf course, building on previous enhancements to its companion West Course that included a reverse osmosis water purification plant for irrigation and new greens, tees and cart paths.

In collaboration with Handisport Foundation, the resort offers ParaGolfer all-terrain wheelchairs that raise the golfer to standing position, allowing for a more conventional golf swing. Recently, the golf complex hosted the first annual International Wheelchair Golf Open, with 40 players from 22 countries competing.
