Eastpointe CC Launches Ambitious Enhancement Program

Continued growth in real estate values, active membership serve as catalysts

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. (May 21, 2018) – Eastpointe Country Club, the social and recreational foundation of the Eastpointe Community, has unveiled an ambitious master plan that includes upgrades of the amenities and member facilities that position the club as one of the best values in Palm Beach County’s competitive private club market.

Eastpointe is located within an exclusive gated community of 875 homes in the heart of Palm Beach Gardens and features 36 holes of golf designed by George and Tom Fazio.

In 2015, Eastpointe Country Club and The Golf and Racquet Club at Eastpointe merged to form Eastpointe Country Club. The merger has proven a great success, resulting in increased membership and a solid financial footing. This consolidation, however, exposed some duplication of facilities, particularly with the clubhouses, driving ranges, tennis courts, and golf course maintenance. In March, the board unveiled a master plan, which was very well received by the membership, that consolidates and upgrades facilities and adds new amenities.

Phase I of the plan, expected to start in 2019, will include a new recreation center, a short game practice area, and expansion of the driving range. The recreation center will feature a state-of-the-art fitness facility to include a large group exercise room, Pilates room, new Bistro & Sports Bar overlooking the pool-providing members with alternative dining options-and furnished recreation patio space with outdoor amenities. There will also be a new ladies’ card room that can be transitioned to a banquet room for outside functions, additional private dining and meeting space, a multi-generational game room, and updated locker rooms.

The consolidation of golf practice areas will improve and streamline overall golf operations, according to Eastpointe Country Club president Paul Rogers.

Funding for the project will come from the sale of nearly 10 acres of land on the property’s west driving range and tennis complex. The land will be developed into approximately 50 new single-family homes.

“By developing the land into single family homes, the club will be able to completely fund the master plan,” said Rogers. “In addition, we will be welcoming 50 new homeowners to the community and the Club. A strong, vibrant Club increases the demand for Eastpointe real estate,” Rogers added. “The average sale price of an Eastpointe home has increased by more than 20% in just the past 12 months. The community is already attracting younger families with children, and many of the improvements are planned with them in mind.”

Future phases of the master plan call for a new administration building to meet the growing needs of members and the community.
