Stevie winners will be presented with their awards on June 11 in New York
The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and nonprofit, large and small.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Monday, June 11. Tickets are now on sale.
More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and App of the Year, among others. FlightScope was nominated in the “Best New Consumer Product” category for their newest product, the mevo.
The FlightScope mevo is a personal launch monitor with multi-sport capabilities designed for athletes to practice with a purpose. More specifically, this device is powered by a 3D Doppler radar and connects directly to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth. The mevo launch monitor is extremely portable, fitting in the palm of your hand, and can be used indoors, on the driving range, and even on the golf course. mevo is not only affordable, but also the first of its kind to capture live action video clips on your device with accurate performance data overlay. Each user can customize their settings to focus on video, data, or both. The radar provides carry distance, launch angle, spin rate, club head speed, ball speed, smash factor, height and time for golf. For baseball, the radar provides pitch speed, pitch spin, exit speed, launch angle, and carry distance. All of these data parameters are collected and organized in our free mobile apps for each sport. The data provided by mevo is used for athletes to monitor and improve performance over time, send to an instructor for feedback, and share with friends and family.
More than 200 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. Some of their comments on the mevo included:
“This product has a great purpose. It brings much needed technology into the hands of athletes to improve and be more competitive. Kudos!”
“Excellent product. The 3D Doppler Tracking radar based approach is nice as opposed to just a camera-based system. Excellent leverage of modern smartphone capabilities, and collaboration with coaches is a plus!”
“The nominations submitted for The 2018 American Business Awards were outstanding. The competition was intense, and those recognized as Stevie Award winners should be immensely proud of this accomplishment,” said Michael Gallagher, President and Founder of the Stevie Awards.
