With its latest stay-and-play package, Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa at The Islands of Loreto is giving golfers the opportunity to play one of the world’s most breathtaking courses while enjoying the perks of staying at a first-class resort.
TPC Danzante Bay, the acclaimed Rees Jones design along of the Sea of Cortez and Baja’s majestic Sierra de la Giganta mountain range, debuted in 2017 and quickly established its place among the world’s most scenic ocean courses.
“This picture-perfect setting is home to an equally stunning golf course – TPC Danzante Bay,” said Matt Ginella, the popular Golf Channel travel editor, of his recent trip to the resort.
Available now through May 2, the resort and TPC Danzante Bay are offering the Golf or Spa Package for $167 per person, per night (based on double occupancy) and includes:
- Three nights’ lodging in a Deluxe Suite
- One round of golf (18 holes) at TPC Danzante Bay
- $25 Sabila Spa certificate, plus access to wet areas at Spa
- Get up to $500 USD in resort coupons
Or, replace with one of the following:
- One 50-minute spa treatment and 25-minute facial

A par 72 with five sets of tees measuring from 4,916 to 7,237 yards, TPC Danzante Bay winds through sand dunes and foothills and along the coastline, along a routing that features panoramic views of the sea, the mountains, and the surrounding Islands of Loreto.
After a day on the course, guests can enjoy the luxurious Sabila Spa, which offers a world-class menu of signature treatments, massages, body wraps and unique wellness service, with an on-site meditation room.
The 4,447-acre resort — selected as one of the top resorts in Western Mexico in the most recent Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Choice Awards — sits on a sprawling stretch of white-sand beach along Danzante Bay, where the natural habitat includes 900 species of fish. In addition to whale watching, resort guests can enjoy world-class sport fishing, swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and kayaking. The resort also offers a championship golf course, TPC Danzante Bay, five swimming pools, tennis courts, miles of hiking trails, and kayaks.
“This setting and the resort speaks for itself and the golf course – TPC Danzante Bay – is icing on the cake,” says former NBA champion Byron Scott, a frequent resort guest.
Located 300 miles north of Los Cabos, Loreto is only a two-hour flight from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) via Alaska Airlines. The resort also is accessible from Calgary with seasonal direct WestJet flights, and from Tijuana and Guadalajara via Calafia Airlines.
