The Red Label found itself in both 1st and 2nd place after a competitive final round! The winner had KBS PGI 90 shafts in her Callaway irons. Also, the runner-up finisher had C-Taper 125 shafts in her Callaway irons. The 21-year-old KBS player opened up her campaign with a round of 71 and then improved with a score of 67 on Friday. Saturday, she played lights out with an impressive score of 63 to give herself the lead going into Sunday. The final round was full of ups and downs, putting the resilient KBS player to the test. She played a steady front nine, but still trailed the lead going into the back nine. She was behind another KBS golfer who was looking in charge all the way up until the last two holes. The resilient 21-year-old stayed focused and went on to eagle the par-5 17th hole to trail the lead by 1 stroke. Her opponent made some costly mistakes on the final hole, which gave the 21-year-old a chance. She went on to make a clutch birdie to claim the victory. The victory at the CME Group Championship is the biggest prize purse out of all the tournaments on the 2024 schedule. The payout for the winner is an astonishing $4 million dollars. She said, “Today, standing here with the trophy, it’s more than I can ask for”.
