L.A.B. Golf Launches B.2,
A Blade Putter With “All The Feels”
RENO, NEVADA — L.A.B. Golf has launched B.2, a putter developed to offer blade lovers the feeling of surfing on rainbows, frolicking with puppies in a golden meadow, and the general sense of immortality over 4-footers.
B.2 is the skinny cousin to BLaD.1, the first blade-style putter to feature Lie Angle Balance, L.A.B. Golf’s patented technology that simplifies putting by eliminating torque from the putter head design.
“Lie Angle Balance is all about improving consistency by removing variables,” says L.A.B. Golf CEO Sam Hahn. “And ultimately, that’s what blade-lovers want, too. With B.2, we wanted to offer a blade for those who prefer a softer look and feel.”
Compared to BLaD.1, B.2 has a thinner topline, softer edges, and a more flowing general appearance than the more angular BLaD.1.
The design of B.2 also features a new internal structure that alters the acoustics of impact to generate a buttery, melty feel at impact. The two vertically stacked weight ports on each side of the putter face are used by L.A.B. Golf Craftsman to precisely Lie Angle Balance each putter by hand to meet a golfer’s build specifications.
The B.2 will be available for fitting at the 2020 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando at the L.A.B. Golf Booth (#1201) located in front of the putting green.
Metals & Customization
B.2 is available in both Premium Stainless Steel and Ultra-Soft Brass models. Each version is 100 percent CNC milled in the USA. B.2 also offers a choice of five (5) different alignment aids and three (3) face finishes.
Shafts & Grips
Shaft options for the B.2 include the KBS Tour (Black and Silver), BGT Stability, BGT Stability Tour, and the LAGP OZIK TP (Black and White). Arm-Lock and Broomstick models are also available.
Grip options for the B.2 include the Press II 1.5 Degree and Press OG 1.5 Degree, each of which was developed to work optimally with both the BLaD.1 and B.2.
Remote Fitting, In-Store Availability, Pricing
Golfers can determine their L.A.B. Golf putter specifications for free online through a Remote Fitting, a process that connects golfers with a L.A.B. Golf fitter to confirm the ideal putter length and lie angle.
L.A.B. Golf putters are also available at Authorized Retailers located across the world including select Cool Clubs and PGA Tour SuperStore locations.
B.2 starts at $399 USD. L.A.B. Golf’s oversized, high-MOI mallet putter, DF 2.1, comes in a choice of Black, Red, and Blue and starts at $425 USD.
