National Club Association Supports ClubsHELP Initiative to Support Medical Workers on the Front Lines of The Battle Against the Coronavirus
Washington, DC —The National Club Association (NCA), the association representing the private club industry, is proud to support the ClubsHELP Foundation, an initiative to help medical workers on the front lines of the Coronavirus fight. ClubsHELP is a national charitable organization that was founded by David Bachman, general manager of Spring Brook Country Club in Morristown, N.J., and Rob Goulet, CEO of Entertainment Sports Partners to bring country club managers together with local hospitals to support the front-line caregivers in those local hospitals with water, food and other essential supplies. Pro golf legend Ernie Els has been the public face of ClubsHELP, speaking out on the need to help caregivers and encouraging the entire golf world to chip in. ClubsHELP can be found online at clubshelp.org.
“The National Club Association is proud to assist in this great effort of clubs helping the besieged caregivers in the nation’s hospitals,” said Henry Wallmeyer, president and CEO of the National Club Association. “I encourage all clubs and club members to help us with this effort to identify, gather and deliver the most critical items and resources to their local hospitals.”
Additionally, the American Hospital Association and American College of Emergency Physicians have alerted their memberships that private clubs across the country are activating.
The National Club Association has been the leader in supporting the private club community during the pandemic. Through its Coronavirus Resource Center, NCA provides updates on Coronavirus-related legislation and regulations, and offers guidance to help clubs during this difficult time. NCA is also offering frequent free town hall webinars to provide updates and advice on the wide range of club management challenges and issues presented by the crisis.
“This is an unprecedented situation, but together we will get through it,” said Wallmeyer. “Private clubs are traditionally philanthropic, supporting communities and charities nationwide and ClubsHELP demonstrates these community ties at the local level. NCA is proud to stand with the entire industry in supporting America’s front-line caregivers.”
