NIPPON SHAFT PLAYERS EARN TWO MORE VICTORIES
Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series of shafts added professional victories Nos. 178 and 179 Sunday, with winners on the LPGA Tour and the European Challenge Tour. They were the 24th and 25th MODUS³ victories on pro tours worldwide this season alone.
The 25-year-old Frenchman used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 130 X steel shafts in his irons and the N.S.PRO MODUS³ Wedge 125 in his wedges to shoot 13-under par to win the Hauts de France – Pas de Calais Golf Open at Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club in France. His rounds of 70-68-67-66 included a bogey-free weekend, leading to his fourth top 10 finish in just six starts and putting him in excellent position to earn his European Tour playing privileges for 2020.
In Belmont, Michigan, the 21-year-old Ontario native used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 105 S-flex steel shafts in her irons and the N.S.PRO MODUS³ Wedge 115 in her wedges to shoot 21-under par and win the Meijer LPGA Classic at Blythefield CC.
The victory was her second this season and the ninth of her LPGA career, making her the winningest Canadian golfer in history. It was a wire-to-wire victory that featured rounds of 64-64-69-70—267 and a winner’s check worth $300,000.
