CARLSBAD, Calif. – A 26-year-old rookie from Finland notched her second professional tour victory of the summer when she won the Ladies European Tour’s (LET) Gant Ladies Open, July 18, in her home country.
Using N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 105 steel shafts in her irons, the champion shot a 5-under par total 208 with rounds of 71-69-68 at Aura Golf in Turku to win by three strokes. The LET victory makes her eligible for consideration for the European Solheim Cup team. Earlier this summer she won the LPGA Mediheal Championship in California.
It was the 246th victory for Nippon Shaft’s Modus Series of steel shafts, which were developed and designed specifically for professionals and single-digit handicappers.
“Nippon Shaft is excited to congratulate the winner of the Gant Ladies Open,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “Having now won on both the LET and LPGA tours, she has proven she deserves to be considered one of the top young players in the women’s game. We are proud she relies on Nippon Shaft products as the tools that help her rise to the top.”
More than 200 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour use Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series steel shafts to help gain their desired distance, accuracy and trajectory.
