NIPPON SHAFT WINS AUSTRALIAN WOMEN’S OPEN
CARLSBAD, Calif. (February 17, 2020) – An LPGA Hall-of-Fame member used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO 950GH steel shafts in her irons and wedges to win the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Women’s Open Sunday at Royal Adelaide Golf Club.
It was the 20th LPGA victory for the 31-year-old South Korean, who shot a 14-under par total, recording rounds of 67-69-68-74. She won by three shots and earned $195,000.
The victory moved the reigning Olympic gold medalist closer to her goal of making the South Korean Olympic team again this year when the competition is played in Japan.
“Nippon Shaft is very happy that a player who has used our shafts for so many years has been able to maintain her level of excellence, as she pursues her goal of making her country’s Olympic team this year,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft.
