Record driving range revenues, new properties adding Power Tee drives huge start to 2024
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL – Power Tee, innovators in technology that drives game improvement, golfer engagement and practice facility revenues, reports a robust start to 2024 thanks to a successful PGA Show that saw the company sign new business with golf facilities in multiple states. Satisfied Power Tee clients are also extending their agreements to have the industry’s leading automatic teeing system at their practice facilities with many properties adding additional Power Tee Premier hitting stations.
Highlighted by an appearance by Hall of Fame golf instructor Rick Smith (who teaches golfers of all levels on Power Tee units at his Rick Smith Golf Academy at Trump Doral in Miami) at the Power Tee booth, January’s PGA Show in Orlando, FL was again a touchstone event for Power Tee that has the company primed for tremendous growth in 2024.
Power Tee founder and CEO Martin Wyeth and the Power Tee sales team showed off the brand’s popular Power Tee Premier unit which takes Power Tee’s breakthrough automatic teeing practice stations – with 40 different tee-height options to ensure perfect lies and turf interaction on every shot – and adds custom decking, lighting and a proprietary design that accommodates fast and efficient installation at public and private golf courses, driving ranges and golf entertainment complexes.
“The awareness of not only the Power Tee brand but of the benefit Power Tee brings to driving ranges is certainly up among PGA Show attendees. The industry is talking about the benefits Power Tee brings to facilities who see they can raise revenues by being able to offer a desirable hitting space at any time of the day. It’s up to the golf operation how much they choose to benefit from installing Power Tee,” Wyeth said.
And the testimonials from longtime Power Tee customers have been flooding in with encouragement for other facility owners and operators to take advantage of this innovative technology that beautifies driving ranges while making them more efficient and more primed to produce instant revenue growth.
“Power Tee has just been tremendous for our business. Our business has increased 50 to 60 percent with Power Tee, but the big thing is the improved experience when you come to the range. Working with the Power Tee team has also just been a great experience. I highly recommend it. It has definitely taken our range to another level. We’ve clearly grown incremental sales tremendously with Power Tee,” said Steve DiMarco, owner of The Golf Zone Family Fun Center in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania.
Even in colder climates, where golf season is shorter, Power Tee is making an impact on the bottom line. “When Power was installed at our facility, I was blown away by it. In three seasons from April 1 through November 1, we have gone from about 200,000 balls hit to 2.2 million balls hit. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., you can’t find a free spot on the Power Tee stations, and during the lunch hour, it’s sold out. For us, that has translated to about a 250 to 300 percent increase in profit. It’s been unbelievable,” said Steve Gonsalves, PGA director of golf at Kwini Club in Shelburne Vermont.
Power Tee’s influence is reaching properties all over the United States and 2024 sees the first location with Power Tee in Australia with Rippit Golf in Newcastle installing 18 units at their innovative new range which opens soon.
Power Tee is now helping a fast-growing number of driving range and golf course owners enjoy increased revenues and improved range infrastructure from Power Tee hitting bays versus traditional grass or mat bays. The reason is simple. Power Tee users get into a groove more easily, improve faster, hit more balls per practice session and spend more time at Power Tee stations. In turn, driving range, food-and-beverage and retail sales increase at these properties. The user experience also enables more consistent swings and the ability to find a productive practice groove more quickly during each range session.
In addition to famed instructor Rick Smith, Power Tee is endorsed by 2003 U.S. Open champion Jim Furyk, 2018 Team Europe Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjorn, and elite golf instructor Mitchell Spearman. Power Tee is installed at more than 400 ranges and clubs across 20 countries and more than 6 million golf balls are now teed up daily on a Power Tee.
