Proprietary Maps Support Full-Line of Shot Scope Products, Including 7 Innovations Launched in 2023,
Which Establishes the Most Expansive Lineup of Distance Measuring and Performance Tracking Devices in Golf
Edinburgh, Scotland – On the heels of adding 7 innovations to its product portfolio in 2023, Shot Scope (www.shotscope.com), the golf industry-leader in advanced GPS and shot tracking technology, has unveiled advanced full-course aerial maps designed exclusively for its laser rangefinders and GPS golf watches.
Available to millions of golfers via the Shot Scope App, the Company offers two different map models, GPS and Preview.
The GPS mode allows current Shot Scope users to view an overhead map of the course during play, while the GPS distances update as the golfer moves around the course. In addition, golfers can measure to any point on the course by simply pressing the circle icon and dragging it to their desired location. This allows players to measure distances to hazards, layup points, and doglegs, as well as receive accurate yardages to the front, middle, and back of every green.
Alternatively, the Preview mode allows golfers to view any course regardless of their location and access a bird’s eye view of every hole. This feature allows golfers to plan their round in advance of play and devise a strategy for optimal performance. In this mode, while golfers cannot access front, middle, and back distances to greens, they can measure to points on the course by tapping anywhere on the map, while gaining distances from the tee box to their chosen point, and from that point to the green.
“At Shot Scope we want to continuously offer innovative products, features and updates that enhance the playing experience for every golfer,” said David Hunter, CEO, Shot Scope. “One of the best advantages of our aerial maps is that blind holes are no longer an issue as golfers can see every hazard at the tip of their finger. Equally important, the aerial maps are especially useful if golfers are playing an unfamiliar course and want to map out a strategy.”
The new Aerial Maps follow the launch of the Shot Scope’s PRO LX+ Laser Rangefinder, the 7th Shot Scope innovation launched in 2023, establishing the most expansive lineup of distance measuring and performance tracking devices in golf and offering golfers the widest and most affordable selection of on course game management products in the industry today. The 2023 Shot Scope new product lineup includes the PRO LX+, the Multi-Function X5 GPS Smart Golf Watch, the easy-to-use G5 GPS Golf Watch with Interchangeable Color Straps, the PRO L2 and PRO LX Laser Rangefinders, CONNEX Performance Tracking Tags and Shot Scope Academy, a program that connects players of all levels with PGA Professionals and coaches.
“2023 has been an exciting year for Shot Scope as we launched a full suite of innovations and truly created an ecosystem for golfers to choose the distance measuring and/or performance tracking product that best fits their game, as well as their budget,” said Hunter.
