NHL and NBA greats to compete at Flossmoor Golf Club in Chicago this summer;

MLB legends will tee it up in Tampa in December, marking THE PRO’s return to Innisbrook Resort

FRISCO, Texas  – THE PRO, a new, highly competitive golf brand and tournament series that brings together professional athletes from the four major sports leagues, today unveiled its remaining 2025 tournament schedule. THE PRO HKY and THE PRO BKB will take place at Flossmoor Golf Club, just south of Chicago in Flossmoor, Illinois, from July 18-20 and THE PRO BSB will be hosted at Innisbrook Resort, Dec. 9-14.

THE PRO HKY field will feature NHL Hall of Famers, Stanley Cup Champions and hockey stars such as Brett Hull, Joe Pavelski, Brad May and Darren Pang. They’ll square off during three days of stroke play to crown the best golfer from its league this summer. At the same venue, THE PRO BKB will feature a field of NBA Champions and basketball greats such as J.R. Smith, Shane Battier, Toni Kukoc and Ron Harper, competing in a new arena, moving from the hardwood to the golf course to determine the best player among its ranks.

THE PRO HKY and THE PRO BKB will be contested on the same course on the same dates, giving fans a chance to see all players in one location throughout the weekend. Players will compete in a three-day modified Stableford format at Flossmoor Golf Club with a field of up to 54 players per sport. THE PRO events mirror other professional golf events with two early week practice rounds, a tournament Pro-Am that pairs four amateur players with one professional athlete and three days of competition.

“Hockey and basketball are deeply connected to Chicago’s identity, from the dynasty of the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s to the Chicago Blackhawks reign winning three Stanley Cups in five years,” said Director of Sports Igor Bakovic, who leads efforts for the DuPage Sports Commission in Chicago’s western suburbs. “What an honor to recognize this great legacy by welcoming THE PRO BKB and THE PRO HKY. Congratulations to our partner, Chicago Marriott Southwest at Burr Ridge, for being chosen as the host hotel. We look forward to partnering with them, the Village of Burr Ridge and the team at Flossmoor Golf Club to create a premier event experience.”

The news was announced at THE PRO FTB, where 48 current and retired football players are competing head to head at PGA Frisco this weekend (March 21-23), and follows THE PRO CUP, the inaugural event for THE PRO and a team match play competition hosted at Innisbrook Resort in December 2024. THE PRO will close out its inaugural season with a return to Innisbrook Resort in December 2025 when MLB players come together to compete in THE PRO BSB for top honors among its league.

“We witnessed the fierce competitiveness of these athletes at our inaugural event, THE PRO CUP, and we’re excited to watch another incredible week of golf at THE PRO FTB here in Frisco,” said Nick Clark, GM of THE PRO. “The camaraderie and competition of THE PRO is really resonating with athletes of this caliber, and the release of the remaining 2025 schedule allows us to build on our current success and lay a foundation to introduce more players and fans to THE PRO in some of the greatest sports cities in America.”

All events from THE PRO are open to the public with daily and weekly tickets available for purchase at theprorivalsopen.com. Children under the age of 15 and active-duty U.S. military and veterans receive complimentary admission. Sponsorship opportunities for THE PRO HKY and THE PRO BKB are also available.
