RENENS, SWITZERLAND – The hottest new shaft on the PGA Tour has won again. TPT Golf earned its second PGA Tour victory at the 2018 Wells Fargo Championship.
The winner of the event drove it both long and straight with a TPT Golf Prototype shaft in his driver at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC, averaging 325.7 yards off the tee and finishing 19th in the PGA Tour’s Strokes Gained: Off the Tee statistic.
“We want to congratulate the winner of the Wells Fargo Championship on another incredible victory,” said Sebastian Sebayang, TPT Golf Director. “He’s a true champion, and we’re proud to share in the excitement of his 12th-career PGA Tour victory and his second win of the 2017-2018 PGA Tour season.”
TPT Golf is a Swiss-based, upstart golf shaft manufacturer that has been disrupting the golf shaft industry since its official launch less than 18 months ago. In the last seven months, TPT Golf shafts have earned the trust of leading professional golfers around the world, capturing six professional wins in the process.

The Prototype shaft used by the Wells Fargo Championship winner is based on TPT Golf’s 15-LKP-LT-LW, a shaft that earned three professional wins around the world before its official launch earlier this year at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show.
Compared to the 15-LKP-LT-LW, the Prototype shaft has slightly stiffer, slightly heavier profile that can further optimize the performance of the world’s strongest golfers. Like all TPT Golf shafts, the Prototype shaft is created using the company’s patent-pending Thin-Ply Technology and the highest quality carbon fiber prepreg.
TPT Golf shafts ($499 each) are available for purchase through TPT Golf Authorized Fitters, a network of more than 100 elite custom club fitters located around the world. The shafts are available in 11 distinct models that offer golfers of all abilities more distance, accuracy and consistency with their drivers and fairway woods.
Four years ago, TPT Golf set out to innovate the golf shaft industry with a revolutionary, automated golf shaft manufacturing process that provides golfers with a more precise, higher-performing product. This pioneering technology allows TPT Golf shafts to overcome the inconsistencies of conventional graphite shafts that have been plaguing golfers for decades.
When a TPT Golf shaft is properly fit, its more axially consistent design results in more consistent impacts. The combination of more consistent impacts and TPT Golf’s optimized bending profiles are what result in significant distance gains.
In fittings around the world, TPT Golf shafts have proven that they can increase distance by offering golfers additional club head speed and ball speed. Golfers can visit tptgolf.com/where-to-buy to locate a TPT Golf Authorized Fitter near them.
