With a rich legacy of success in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, Turfgrass® is honored to welcome Brad, who is retiring this fall as Senior Director of Agronomy at the world-renowned Augusta National Golf Club. Brad will assist Turfgrass® USA as it embarks on establishing its presence in North and Central America.

In keeping with their commitment to excellence, Turfgrass® proudly introduces Brad Owen to their distinguished USA team. With over 38 years of unmatched experience, including a prestigious tenure at Augusta National Golf Club as Superintendent and then Senior Director of Agronomy, Brad brings a wealth of insight and leadership to Turfgrass® USA’s expansion endeavors.
Brad Owen’s illustrious career began with a degree from Appalachian State University School of Business, followed by a strong foundation in turfgrass management from Pennsylvania State University. His journey into the golf course industry commenced at Elk River Club in Banner Elk, NC, before his pivotal internship at Augusta National Golf Club in 1986, marking the start of a lifelong affiliation with one of golf’s most iconic institutions.
Joining Augusta National as a full-time employee in 1987, Brad’s dedication and expertise propelled him through the ranks to the esteemed position of Golf Course Superintendent in 1997. Throughout his tenure, Brad had the privilege of learning from and collaborating with industry legends, further enriching his unparalleled skill set.
Brad’s contributions extended beyond Augusta National, as he served as an Agronomics Advisor for international golf events, including the prestigious 2016 Asia-Pacific Amateur in Incheon, South Korea. His leadership as Senior Director of Agronomy, was instrumental in maintaining Augusta National’s impeccable standards and overseeing significant golf course projects.
Now, Brad joins forces with industry luminaries Adam Moeller and John Lawrence, forming Turfgrass® USA, a formidable team dedicated to advancing the future of golf course development, agronomy maintenance and sustainability in America. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, poised to address the evolving needs of golf courses across the north and south continents.
