Half Moon Bay Golf Links Announces 'Links Enhancement' to Ocean Course

Half Moon Bay Golf Links in Half Moon Bay, Calif., announces enhancements to its Arthur Hills-designed Ocean Course. Among the enhancements, the rough will be mowed down around the bunkers to bring hazards back into play on tee shots; green complexes and surrounds will be cut to “just above green” mowing height, adding multiple shot opportunities; and more than 200 yards will be added to the course’s length.

Softspikes reports that the U.S. Senior Open champion and 76 percent of the plastic cleat field, including 40 of the top 49 finishers, wore its products. Also, the winner of the Nationwide Tour’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational wore Softspikes’ Black Widow Tour cleats. Softspikes was also the No. 1 plastic cleat at the Buick Open and Ricoh Women’s British Open.

Upshaw was a Hall of Famer lineman for the Oakland Raiders and the long-time head of the NFL Players Association who died of pancreatic cancer in 2008.
