Peachtree Corners, Ga. – For the first time, U.S. Kids Golf will offer its Coach Certification programs at the Orange County Convention Center during the PGA Show. The seminars will take place on Thursday, January 25.
“We recognize that the PGA Show represents a unique opportunity to provide our certification program to coaches from around the world. In holding these sessions on-site at the convention center, our goal is to make it as easy as possible for coaches to participate,” said Dan Van Horn, President, and Founder of U.S. Kids Golf.
Coach 1 certification will take place from 9 a.m.-12 noon on Thursday, followed by Coach 2 certification from 2-5 p.m. Individuals may participate in either or both interactive seminars.
Coach 1 provides foundational training that details basic principles for coaching juniors, focusing on six key elements specific to coaching young golfers.
Coach 2 certification trains coaches how to identify and offer coaching based on the individual student’s personality motivators, providing students with a learning environment that is engaging. Coaches are provided an in-depth look into how to utilize the U.S. Kids Golf Player Pathway curriculum which offers cognitive scaffolding and allows players to achieve ongoing success based on their abilities.
In presenting over 250 seminars since 2012, with almost 7000 coaches participating from over 80 countries, U.S. Kids Golf has developed a true worldwide network of coaches dedicated to improving the experience of young golfers learning the game.
