Malcolm DeMille Creates the Western Amateur Champions Trophy
The Western Amateur has been a prestigious national tournament since its founding in 1899. Each year, 156 invited players come from across the globe to play one of the toughest formats in amateur golf. Congratulations to this year’s winner, Garrett Rank! Not only does Garrett Rank get his name engraved on the George R. Thorne Trophy with many of golf’s great names (including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Jack Nicklaus), but he also received a replica trophy handcrafted by Malcolm DeMille. The spun brass cup stands 12” tall with highly detailed cast pieces, and finished off in Nickel Plate.
