First-of-its-kind training aid perfects any golfer’s grip … instantly
CHICAGO, January 9, 2012 — Champions Tour Comeback Player of The Year, Chip Beck, will introduce his new interactive, heat-activated training aid Grip Guides® (GG) at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, January 25-28. Grip Guides’ exclusive thermachromatic technology combines pressure sensitivity with heat sensitivity. The guide changes color for instant, positive feedback. With Grip Guides, golfers of all abilities can feel, see, check and perfect their grip on the spot!
When Beck, one of only five players in PGA Tour history to shoot a 59, says, “Grip it like a pro!” he means it. Beck literally used his own grip (which is modeled on the classic Vardon Grip) to develop his patent-pending Grip Guides/Golf. The scientifically-designed training aid features Chip Beck’s grip imprinted in the thermachromatic ink on adhesive backed material. Pressure-sensitive lines show proper grip alignment and finger position. The “cool science” part of Grip Guide is its body-heat-activated, color-changing technology (like that used on Coors Beer bottles) that shows instantly where the golfer’s hands are vs. where they should be. Grip Guides work for both “see” and “feel” players, giving immediate, interactive feedback.
“Grip Guides are the ultimate personal training aid. They’re simple and fun. Beginners, novices, even advanced players looking for an edge can all benefit,” said Karen Beck, Chip’s wife, and co-developer of Grip Guides. “You can apply GG to any grip on any golf club. We offer GG models for juniors, men and women, left-handed players and right-handed players.”
“I’m thrilled to share this game-changing technology,” said Beck. “You’ll see right away how your grip lines up with mine. A quick, discreet adjustment and you’re good to go. Or as we like to say: Your best golf is just a Grip Guide away!”
Grip Guides is a registered trademark of B10 LLC. A provisional patent was filed on February 4, 2011.
