CentreCup® Pro, the total short-game training aid, will stage its international launch at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show, Orlando
Designed by PGA Professional, Ian Melville, and manufactured and distributed in the UK by Swingrite UK Ltd, CentreCup Pro will be demonstrated at the Demo Day on Wednesday, January 25 and be exhibited in the main show at stand #678.
Using a patented and unique frame and brace design CentreCup Pro promotes both the ‘straight-back and straight-through’ PILS putting stroke and the ‘inside-square-inside’ stroke.
Crucially, at impact the putter face is always square to the ball, with the golfer unable to manipulate the putter head. This gives golfers an instant feel for a pure putting stroke – whichever method a teaching professional recommends.
A hinge mechanism means CentreCup Pro can be inclined to produce a perfect ‘in-square-in’ stroke where the pupil’s arms and hands cannot independently manipulate the putter face, the most common causes of missed putts.
When inclined to 12 degrees using simple indicators on the hinge points and combined with the Yes TruePlane putting aid – which is supplied with every CentreCup Pro – the end result is the optimum arcing stroke favoured by the majority of Tour players and leading amateurs.
When in its full vertical set-up, CentreCup Pro delivers the putter on a perfect ‘straight back and straight through’ plane, a method favoured by world renowned coaches like Dave Pelz, with the shoulders completely in control rather than the smaller and less reliable muscles in the fingers, hands and arms.
The new CentreCup Pro also features high-grade stainless steel guides and specially-designed wheels so it’s easy to transport to practice putting greens and training areas.
More than 250 PGA Professionals in the UK are now using CentreCup products to generate additional income in a number of ways:
• Booking putting lessons that incorporate CentreCup Pro.
• Using CentreCup Pro to create special courses of short-game lessons.
• Creating a ‘CentreCup Putting Academy’ at their golf club and hiring the units to members anytime they want for an annual membership fee spread over weekly payments
• Staging group putting and chipping demonstrations to members, societies and corporate groups.
• Staging indoor putting lessons and demonstrations in evenings and in bad weather.
Launching CentreCup Pro, inventor Ian Melville, a PGA Professional, said: “CentreCup Pro helps Professionals generate extra income – either by increasing their volume of short-game lessons, or by adding an extra dimension and value to the lessons and packages they already offer.”
