(Grand Rapids, Mich.) As a new sponsor of the 24th West Michigan Golf Show, Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Indiana is excited about sharing its “new direction” with patrons at the DeVos Place on Feb.10-12 in Grand Rapids. It will also be sharing a nice perk for all patrons at its booth.
“As the West Michigan Golf Show is an important part of communicating Swan Lake Resort’s new message, we’re inviting golf show patrons to come play a free round with cart in 2012,” said Andy Mears, Sales and Marketing Director. “They simply need to stop by our booth. It’s an exciting time for us as Swan Lake has the feel of a start-up but the stability of being in business for over 40 years.”
Show Manager Carolyn Alt is equally excited to partner with Swan Lake in its endeavors. “Andy’s been so enthusiastic and positive about the Show and also about the West Michigan golf market,” said Alt. “Its free golf offer will definitely mean more Michigan license plates will be seen in the Swan Lake Resort’s parking lot this season.”
Incidentally, Mears’ name may be familiar to West Michigan golfers. A graduate of Ferris State University, Mears was a PGA golf professional in Kalamazoo in the early 1990s. However for the past 20 years he’s been on the corporate side of the business as an executive for two golf companies before joining Swan Lake Resort in January 2010. “I’m excited to be part of the management team that is moving Swan Lake Resort in a new direction,” said Mears. “With support from Mr. Richard Klingler (owner) and leadership from his daughter, Pam Smith (President), the new management team is making significant changes that will be seen by all our guests.”
Located 30 minutes south of South Bend, Swan Lake Golf Resort was founded in 1969. The Golf Academy has been part of the facility since its inception.
