Ron Green Sr., a long-time sports journalist who has covered 75 major championships during his nearly half century of reporting, has been named the 17th recipient of the 2006 PGA Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism. Green, 76, will be honored April 5, at the 34th Golf Writers Association of America awards ceremony at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion in Augusta, Ga.
