EWGA Donations to LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Near $400,000

The EWGA and EWGA Foundation present a check for $35,053.30 to LPGA-USGA Girls Golf during the association’s annual conference in Palm Desert, Calif. The check represents funds raised in 2008 by EWGA chapters and the EWGA Foundation.

PGA Honorary President Brian Whitcomb, PGA Golf Professionals Of The Year Brent Krause And Jim Manthis Head Inductees Into Pga Golf Professional Hall Of Fame

The PGA Golf Professional Hall of Fame announces an eight-member 2009 class of inductees. To be inducted on May 5 are PGA honorary president Brian Whitcomb, past PGA Professionals of the Year Jim Manthis and Brent Krause, former Masters champion Claude Harmon Sr., legendary teaching professional Harvey Penick, former UCLA coach and renowned teaching professional Eddie Merrins, former PGA of America Rules Committee chairman Don Essig III and Harry “Cotton” Berrier, a three-time PGA of America board member and one of the founders of the Tennessee PGA Section.

Acushnet Acts To Protect Intellectual Property

Acushnet filed a patent infringement lawsuit today against Callaway Golf in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. In its complaint, Acushnet asserts that Callaway’s Tour i and Tour ix golf balls infringe nine United States patents from Acushnet’s extensive golf ball patent portfolio covering multi-piece, solid core technology.

Wilson Golf Rolls Out “Paddy Slam Countdown” Promotion Tied to Padraig Harrington’s Quest for his Third Consecutive Major
