UST® Shafts Win on Both Sides of Pacific

United Sports Technologies reports that the respective winner’s of the Japan Tour’s Sun Chlorella Classic and the PGA Tour’s Legends Reno-Tahoe Open used the company’s shafts. The Sun Chlorella Classic champion played UST Proforce V2 graphite shafts in his Titleist driver, Ping 3-wood and two Titleist hybrid clubs. The Legends Reno-Tahoe champion played the UST Irod shaft in his Titleist hybrid.

Softspikes® Sweeps Weekend Tour Play

PrideSports reports that its Softspikes were worn by the winners of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Legends-Reno Tahoe Open, U.S. Senior Open and Women’s British Open. Also, the winner of the Cox Classic also wore PrideSports cleats.

Aldila's VooDoo gives Tour players the winning edge

Aldila staff member Stuart Appleby played the VooDoo shaft in all of his woods en route to a second-place finish at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Also, the winner of the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open used the shaft in his driver and 3-wood.

FootJoy reports that Vijay Singh (DryJoys), Parker McLachlin (ReelFit) and Ji-Yai Shin (eComfort) wore its shoes en route to their respective wins at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Legends Reno-Tahoe Open and Women’s British Open.

Duramed FUTURES Tour Introduces Fan-Friendly Top Ten Program

The Duramed Futures Tour launches a new program, “The Top Ten: Race For The Card,” to help fans better recognize the tour’s top players and to emphasize that these players are in contention to gain LPGA member status for 2009. Among the enhancements, players ranked in the top 10 on the money list will have caddies wearing bright yellow caddie bibs emblazoned with a logo bearing the program’s name and the logo also will be displayed beside the names of players ranked in the top 10 on tournament scoreboards and leaderboards.

The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic announces that the host course for the 50th annual event will be the Palmer Private Course at PGA West. Other courses in the 2009 rotation will be Bermuda Dunes Country Club, an original course in the first tournament in 1960, La Quinta’s SilverRock Resort, which debuted in 2008, and the Nicklaus Private Course at PGA West, in the rotation for the first time.
