The Prairie Club (Valentine, Neb.): The Dunes Course ranked No. 78 on Golf Magazine’s list of Top 100 Course You Can Play, and all three courses – Dunes Course, Pines Course and Horse Course – have been recognized as part of Golf Digest’s list of Top 50 Most Fun Public Golf Courses.

Schmidt-Curley Design: Completes a total remodel of Nanlihu Golf Club on China’s tropical Hainan Island. Part of the remodel included grass-faced bunkers, Paspalum fairways and boldly contoured green surfaces. Also, full-grown palm trees were transplanted throughout to immediately give the course a mature look.

Sun Valley Trail Creek Course (Sun Valley, Idaho): Begins renovation of its par-5, 530-yard first hole. Among the changes will be a smaller re-designed green and fairway bunker, and a widened fairway landing area off the tee. The resort has also created a contingency hole to keep an 18-hole route intact through the project’s completion in July 2013.

Billy Casper Golf: Announces that Emerald Greens Golf Resort and Country Club in Tampa, Fla., will unveil 18 new greens on Thursday, Sept. 20, following a capital-enhancements project to convert them to Champion Bermuda Grass.

French Lick Resort (French Lick, Ind.): To host the The Legends Tour’s Legends Championship, Sept. 23-29. The tournament, which will benefit the American Heart Association, will feature a number of week-long events and a field that includes Nancy Lopez, Pat Bradley and Betsy King.

Stallion Mountain Golf Club (Las Vegas, Nev.): Selected by the American Junior Golf Association to host the ShowMeGolfers Junior Championship, Dec. 7-9. The event will coincide with the timing of the convention for the Golf Coaches Association of America men’s coaches in Las Vegas to provide one last look at the seniors available for recruitment in the 2013 season.
