U.K.-based Golf Lab TV announces it will test Rife putters, GolfLogix’s Garmin-powered GPS system, and Northwestern’s Plus 10 driver on the next edition of its 30-minute show that will air on Sky Sports and ESPN networks and the company’s Web site at GolfLab.tv. … Turner Sports and the PGA of America announce that all of TNT’s television announcers and PGA.com on-camera talent, as well as local PGA of America club professionals, will use Twitter to provide commentary leading up to and throughout the PGA Championship. The Aloha PGA Section will host eight teams attempting to earn a berth in the McGladrey National Team Championship in October. The Hawaiian qualifier, one of 41 section championships being held, will be held at Kahili Golf Course in Wailuku, Hawaii, today, Monday. The Carolinas Section will also hold its qualifier Aug. 11-12 at Forest Creek Golf Club in Pinehurst, N.C. … The Aloha PGA Section will host the Callaway Golf PGA Assistant Championship qualifier, Aug. 11-12 at the Ko Olina Golf Club in Kapolei, Hawaii. The 36-hole event will qualify two players for the Callaway Golf PGA Assistant Championship, Oct. 1-4 in Port St. Lucie, Fla. … Tim Clark, Lee Janzen, Chris DiMarco, Corey Pavin, Steve Elkington, Todd Hamilton and Mark Calcavecchia commit to play the Wyndham Championship, Aug. 17-23 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
