Number Of Core Golfers Higher Than Previously Reported According To New NGF Golf Research
The National Gold Foundation reports that, according to a new national study of golf participation in the U.S., the number of Core golfers (adults age 18-and-older who play eight or more rounds a year) is higher than previously reported. The Core golfer number is estimated to be 15.0 million as compared to a figure of 12.5 million published by NGF a year ago.

January Rounds Return To Normal Levels
The National Golf Foundation reports that rounds played were down nearly 21 percent in January 2007 vs. January 2006 on a same-store basis. However, January 2006 rounds were up 30 percent over January 2005 rounds, so this year’s drop is really a return to normal January rounds volume.
